Interested in learning more about the long-term maintenance of Green Infrastructure, or vegetated stormwater facilities? Here is a great online learning opportunity! Clean Water Services is extending a $25 discount to ACWA members interested in registering for the training. The coupon code is available to members here.
Clean Water Services now has an online training opportunity for managing vegetated water quality facilities. The training provides guidance on how to inspect and manage long-term maintenance of the facilities and for those landscape maintenance contractors who are interested, they will earn their place on Clean Water Services’ Vegetated Water Quality Management (VWQF) Preferred Contractor list. The Nature of Green Infrastructure online lets learners earn their place on the list at their own pace, and on their own schedule, while they observe social distancing.
The Nature of Green Infrastructure offers a variety of benefits:
- Stay up to date on the latest practices for managing vegetated water quality facilities and stay on the Preferred Contractors list.
- Save money with properly maintained VWQF versus rehabilitating a facility left in poor condition.
- Reduce the workload for your staff and for agency inspectors, creating efficiency in the compliance process.
- Get a clear understanding of how to efficiently and successfully manage VWQFs.
Please share this course with anyone who is interested in expanding their knowledge of VWQF management.
The first step is to create an account on the Clean Water Learning portal. Once this is complete, you will need to purchase the course (The Nature of Green Infrastructure); be sure to use the discount code extended to ACWA members shown above. They will explore the latest standards and practices through a series of informative videos. Landscape maintenance contractors who pass the final test with a score of at least 70%, can be placed on Clean Water Services’ Preferred Contractor list.
This is also a great opportunity for local municipalities interested in learning more about managing VWQFs. Sign up for the class and learn best practices for managing vegetated water quality facilities.
